The Uprising shorts are totally amazing. Great fabric and great fit. I was concerned as my measurements are a little larger than XL on the sizing chart, but the XL fits perfectly. Gonna order myself another pair! ... and Jeff (Customer Support) is super!
I recently bought the Uprising short for men even though I'm a woman. I am tall with an athletic build and I find that men's cut clothing tends to fit me better. I rode these on a gravel ride and really love them. The fit is great, I kept them in the "casual" mode, unzipped. I was worried about my phone fitting in the front pocket but it's not an issue, it disappeared in the pocket and was comfortable. I have the bright blue shorts and received many compliments on the color. I'm so pleased with these shorts that I just ordered a second pair in black. Thank you Elevenpine.
I ended up with a couple of pairs of these shorts, in both colorways. The fabric and finish is excellent and both look great. I really dig the blue, it's sharp looking in person. The shorts are very comfortable in both modes (loose - unzipped / technical - zipped). I generally ride with them in the technical mode. They stay put perfectly and the liner and short move in sync, rarely needing any sort of adjustment. I have used these for everything from family rides to 6hr gravel rides and mountain bike rides and everything in between. On donut rides, with a quick zip, the shorts turn into loose and comfy with my two young girls. I don't mind the funny looks spandex can bring, but sometimes my girls do! These and the detour model have become my go to for just about every ride. I haven't had a chance to take these bikepacking yet, but I think they will be ideal for that application, technical when on the bike, loose when not and when at camp. Since they can fill both needs, they will eliminate bringing along extra shorts too on those light and fast bikepacking missions. I tend to run on the slimmer side, but find their sizing spot on for the application. I'm looking forward to seeing what the team at elevenpine has in store for the future!
